Like the Cardigan, but the Pembroke has a (nearly) straight front and is slightly smaller. The Pembroke has a docked tail in the US; since docking is forbidden in most parts of Europe, you'll see undocked Pembrokes. In that case they have a rather heavy tail which is bushy, but not so bushy that it looks feathered, and should not be carried above the horizontal. |

Oddball in the herding group due to his appearance. They have a corded coat and they carry their tail over their back. Although the AKC asks for more angulation (close to 90 degrees), the FCI standard calls for less angulation (between 100 and 110 degrees). |
| Pyrenean Shepherd |
Herding |
Small Medium |
There are two varieties, one with a smooth face and the other with a rough face (full coated). The standard states that the coat may cord, which justifies the choice of the Loose Curly coat type for this breed. |
| Shetland Sheepdog |

Looks like a miniature Collie. |
| Swedish Vallhund |

Short legged dog that looks a lot like the Pembroke Welsh Corgi but a bit higher off the ground. |
